Legal education in the India generally refers to the education of lawyers before entry into practice. Legal education in India is offered at different levels by the traditional universities and the specialised law universities and schools only after completion of an undergraduate degree or as an integrated degree.

There are following courses:-

  • L.L.B (Bachelor of Laws)
  • B.A-L.L.B (Bachelor of Arts-L.L.B)
  • B.B.A-L.L.B (Bachelor in Business Administration-L.L.B)
  • L.L.M (Master of Laws)
  • M.B.A-L.L.M (Masters in Business Administration-L.L.M)

The following are the eligibility criteria that are needed to be fulfilled by the aspirants.

# If you want to pursue law after Class XII, then you need to go for a course like BA LLB, BSc LLB, etc. For that, you should have scored at least 45% in Class XII and qualify the entrance test required for admission in LLB courses.
# However, for pursuing a simple LLB course, you need to have completed your graduation from a recognized college.
#If you are already a graduate (any stream and any course), then you simply can pursue LLB for 3 years through qualifying the required entrance exams.

Nationality: Applying candidates must be Indian national citizen. Foreign Nationals/ OCI/ PIO category candidates will be also eligible to apply for the exam.

Age limit: There will be no age limit to apply for MH CET LAW.

3 year LLB Course:

Qualification: Candidates must qualify Graduate or Post graduate from any recognized institute/ university.

Percentage: Candidates must score minimum 45% (40% for SC/ ST category of Maharashtra state & VJNT, SBC, OBC category with minimum 42% marks) in their qualifying exam.

5 year LLB Course:

Qualification: Candidates must qualify Intermediate or equivalent examination from any recognized board or University.

Percentage: Candidates must qualify with minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category of Maharashtra state) in the 12th level.

Appearing: Candidates appearing in qualifying exam will be also eligible to apply for the examination.
